ABIES GRANDIS (GRAND FIR) NEEDLE OIL: An evergreen tree native to the Pacific Northwest of North America. The crushed leaves have a fruity orange–flavored aroma. A gum that exudes from the bark has been used externally as a poultice to cuts and sores. Grand Fir essential oil is steam distilled from needles of the giant fir tree. Grand Fir oil is known for its calming, elevating and strengthening qualities. Its fresh, sweet, balsamic scent purifies the air and helps to improve mental clarity.
ACACIA DECURRENS (MIMOSA) OIL: An attractive small tree with delicate foliage and clusters of fragrant yellow flowers. It has a rich, floral, woody and warm scent. It is known to help relieve anxiety and nervous tension. In skin care it is used to enhance oily and sensitive skin.
ACER SACCHARUM (SUGAR MAPLE) EXTRACT: This extract contains naturally occurring Malic Acid (which is an alpha hydroxy acid or AHA) and is used to promote smoother younger looking skin by increasing the rate of cell renewal.
AESCULUS HIPPOCASTANUM (HORSE CHESTNUT): The seeds and bark of this plant contain a high amount of aesculin, a sun protective antioxidant compound which helps to counter the penetration of UV light and subsequent damage. In addition, this extract has toning and astringent properties as well as helps to improve blood flow.
ALBUMEN: Albumen or egg white is the name for the clear liquid contained within an egg. It consists mainly of proteins dissolved in water. About 75% of the total compound is made up of ovalbumin, ovoconalbumin, ovomucoid, ovomucin, ovoglobulin, lysozyme and avidin. It is primarily used in skin care for its binding properties.
ALCOHOL: Ethyl alcohol (ethanol) made from organically grown grain. Alcohol serves as a natural preservative, carrier and extraction medium for natural plant compounds.

ALTHAEA OFFICINALIS (MARSHMALLOW) ROOT EXTRACT: A plant native to parts of Europe, Asia and the United States. The mucilaginous extract of the roots of the Marshmallow attracts water and functions as a skin humectant. It is used to soothe and soften the skin while promoting flexibility of the stratum corneum.
ANGELICA ARCHANGELICA (ANGELICA) SEED OIL: Known as Wild Celery and is a biennial plant. It grows wild in Scandinavia and is cultivated in France among other countries. The flowers, which blossom in July, are yellowish or greenish in color. The essential oil is steam distilled from the seeds (fruits) of the plant and have a fresh, light peppery scent. It is prized for its stimulant, antiseptic qualities and ability to enhance dull and congested skin.
ANGELICA SYLVESTRIS (ANGELICA) OIL: This plant belongs to the parsley family and yields a yellow dye. The essential oil is used to encourage circulation and detoxification.
ANIBA ROSAEODORA (ROSEWOOD) WOOD OIL: A species of tree in the Lauraceae family and native to Brazil. The essential oil is distilled from the wood of the plant and has a sweet, slightly spicy scent. It is prized for its uplifting and enlivening action on the mind. In addition, the oil helps to balance and rejuvenate the skin, promoting proper hydration and helping to combat dull and dry complexions. The main therapeutic properties of the oil are antiseptic, anti–bacterial, stimulant and tonic.
ANTHEMIS NOBILIS (CHAMOMILE) FLOWER EXTRACT: Roman Chamomile is indigenous to Europe, but is often cultivated in American gardens, on account of its many virtues. Chamomile flowers have been used for centuries and are highly esteemed for their tonic and de–stressing properties.
ANTHEMIS NOBILIS (ROMAN CHAMOMILE) FLOWER WATER: A pure, water–based solution created when essential oils are steam distilled. This water helps to soothe and calm sensitive, dry or irritated skin.
AQUA (WATER): Purified or distilled, water helps to provide consistency to creams, lotions and gels. It is also used as a carrier for plant extracts and a skin hydrating agent.

ARCTIUM MAJUS (BURDOCK) ROOT EXTRACT: This plant has been used since the 15th century as food and against skin ailments and other disorders. Burdock Root Extract possesses emollient and softening properties that help to improve skin comfort.
ARGININE: Traditionally Lactic Acid is produced through fermentation of plant derived carbohydrates. Arginine is a natural amino acid that is derived from numerous vegetable sources such as wheat germ, buckwheat, oatmeal, nuts and seeds. Lactic Acid/Arginine complex is a proprietary amphoteric blend that is designed to time–release Lactic Acid allowing for virtual elimination of irritation that is generally associated with AHAs. ASCORBIC ACID: Also known as Vitamin C, is found naturally in fruits such as citrus and green vegetables. It is a water–soluble powder with powerful antioxidant and preservative properties. It is known to stimulate collagen production and clarify/brighten skin.
ASCORBIC ACID POLYPEPTIDE: A conjugated polypeptide–bound form of Vitamin C. It is a more stable form of ascorbic acid, which is able to penetrate into the deeper layers of the epidermis. It is involved in capturing and neutralizing free radicals which are formed upon exposure to UV. In addition, it helps to stimulate collagen production and restore elasticity for a smoother, firmer skin appearance.
ASCORBYL PALMITATE: An oil soluble form of Vitamin C, which is produced when Ascorbic Acid is combined with Palm Oil derivative. It is an antioxidant and free–radical scavenger that plays an essential role in skin’s natural restorative processes. ASTAXANTHIN: Produced from microalgae called Haematococcus Pluvialis. Astaxanthin is a carotenoid with superior antioxidant activity. It can have up to 550 times the antioxidant activity of Vitamin E and 10 times the antioxidant activity of Beta–Carotene. It surpasses many of the antioxidant benefits of Vitamin C and other carotenoids.
AURANTIUM SINENSIS (ORANGE) PEEL OIL: Sweet orange or Citrus Sinensis is a small flowering tree that grows to about 10m tall with evergreen leaves. The orange fruit is called a hesperidium, a type of berry. The essential oil is cold pressed from the peel and has a citrusy, sweet and warm scent. It has astringent, bactericidal and rejuvenating properties. It is also known to detoxify congested skin. Great for mature and acne–prone skin types.
AVENA SATIVA (OAT) KERNEL EXTRACT: Since medieval times, oats have been used for their medicinal properties in the form of poultices and soaks. Oat Kernel Extract is used in skin care preparations for its skin soothing, calming and hydrating properties.
BENTONITE: A volcanic clay that is quarry mined from naturally occurring deposits primarily in the USA. It is used as a thickener and emulsion stabilizer. On skin, it absorbs impurities, absorbs excess oils and reduces shine.
BENZYL ALCOHOL: Synthetic or naturally derived from Almond Oil, this compound serves as a powerful anti–microbial agent and bacteriostat. In addition, it occurs naturally in Jasmin, Ylang–Ylang, Peru Balsam, Neroli, Orris, Grapefruit Juice and Clove.
BEESWAX: A natural wax produced in the bee hive of honey bees of the genus Apis. White Beeswax is made by a simple, non–chemical bleaching process. It is commonly used as a thickener, emulsifier and structuring agent in personal care products.
BETA–GLUCAN: Polysaccharides (sugar molecules) that naturally occur in the bran of cereal grains, the cell wall of baker's yeast, certain types of fungi and many kinds of mushrooms and bacteria. The cereal based Beta–Glucans occur most abundantly in Barley and Oats and to a lesser degree in Rye and Wheat. Beta–Glucans are powerful immunomodulators and are useful in skin care for their anti–inflammatory, soothing, calming and hydrating properties.
BISABOLOL: A naturally occurring compound that is generally extracted from German Chamomile. It is a potent anti–irritant that helps to soothe delicate, sensitive skin.
BORAGO OFFICINALIS (BORAGE) SEED OIL: Cold pressed from the seeds and used as an anti–inflammatory agent as well as for certain other skin conditions. CETEARYL ALCOHOL: A fatty alcohol that is commonly derived from plant oils such as Palm or Coconut. It has a wax–like structure and is used in creams and lotions for its emulsifying, emollient and thickening properties.

CITRUS HYSTRIX (COMBAVA) PEEL OIL: Combava or Kaffir Lime Oil is derived from the aromatic rind of the Lime fruit. It is known to have excellent antiseptic, keratoplastic and tyrosinase inhibition activities. In skin care preparations it is used to improve skin's radiance.
CITRUS MEDICA LIMONUM (LEMON) PEEL OIL: Acts as a natural astringent, antiseptic and bactericide. Known to improve circulation and diminish the appearance of cellulite.
CITRUS MEDICA LIMONUM (LEMON) FRUIT EXTRACT: A source of naturally occurring Citric Acid. Citric Acid is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) with a mild exfoliating effect on the skin. In addition, Lemon Extract has excellent antiseptic, cleansing and toning properties.
CITRUS RETICULATA (TANGERINE) PEEL OIL: The Tangerine is a variety of the Mandarin Orange (Citrus Reticulata). Historically, the name Tangerine comes from Tangier, Morocco, a port from which the first Tangerines were shipped to Europe. Tangerines are a good source of Vitamin C, Folate and Beta–Carotene. They also contain Potassium, Magnesium and Vitamins B1, B2 and B3. The essential oil which is produced from the peel has an intense, sweet, fresh scent characteristic of citrus fruit. In addition, it has stimulating, toning, antiseptic and astringent properties.
COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE: A mild foaming and cleansing agent that is generally derived from vegetable feedstock such as Coconut and Palm Kernel Oils. It works well in a variety of cleansing applications including facial and baby care.
COCAMIDOPROPYL HYDROXYSULTAINE: Derived from a plant based feedstock (Coconut Oil). It is a mild amphoteric secondary surfactant, foam booster and viscosity builder.
COCO–CAPRYLATE/CAPRATE: A quick penetrating and light–weight emollient that is mainly derived from Coconut Oil. Used for its skin conditioning and smoothing properties.
COCO–GLUCOSIDE: Coco Glucoside/Glyceryl Oleate blend is based on natural vegetable feedstock: Coconut Oil, Palm Kernel Oil, Sunflower Oil and Maize. It is an alkyl polyglycoside and fatty acid monoglyceride composite that is used in the development of body cleansing preparations. This ingredient is known to enhance lipid layers, improve viscosity and foaming, condition and moisturize the skin and hair. It is mild to skin, biodegradable and contains no ethylene oxide or nitrogen.
COFFEA ARABICA (COFFEE): Fragrant, finely ground Coffee beans from the Coffea Arabica plant gently exfoliate dull and dry skin.
COFFEA ARABICA (COFFEE) BEAN OIL: Coffee plants are native to the tropical regions of South America, Asia and Africa. The plant is a small shrub that typically reaches 3–4 meters in height. The seeds of the coffee plant are commonly referred to as beans. Roasting coffee beans changes the chemical and aromatic composition of the beans. Coffea Arabica Oil is produced via a cold pressing process of roasted coffee beans (seeds). The oil is rich in phytosterols and essential fatty acids (mainly linoleic) that promote excellent moisture retention. This rich, aromatic oil penetrates quickly and easily, helping to deeply moisturize and condition mature, dry and sensitive skin.
COMMIPHORA ABYSSINICA (MYRRH) EXTRACT: Derivative of the aromatic gum resin of the Commiphora Abyssinica Tree. It has a rich, woody, earthy and balsamic aroma. It is known to possess powerful astringent, antiseptic, and anti–inflammatory properties.
COPAIFERA OFFICINALIS (BALSAM COPAIBA) RESIN: Extracted from the cavities within the trunk of the Copaifera Officinalis Tree. The balsam is believed to have antibacterial, disinfectant and stimulant properties.
COPPER ACETYLMETHIONATE: Copper is an important trace element for human nutrition. In addition, synthesis of collagen and elastin is in part related to the presence of Copper in the body. There is also research showing that Copper is beneficial for wound healing and as an antioxidant.
CORYLUS AVELLANA (HAZEL) SEED OIL: The Common Hazel is a species of hazel shrub native to Europe and western Asia. Hazelnuts are rich in protein, unsaturated fat, Vitamins (E, Thiamine, Vitamin B6, as well as smaller amounts of other B vitamins), minerals, phytosterol and antioxidant compounds. The light, fine textured oil is obtained from the seeds or nuts of the Hazelnut species. It is high in oleic and linoleic acids and is used in cosmetics as a skin conditioning agent.
