When our founder, Barbara Close, opened the Naturopathica Spa for the Healing Arts in 1995, it planted the seeds for our work today. Rooted in French spa culture, Barbara’s original space in East Hampton used a pharmacy of flowers and plants to create tinctures, balms, teas, and essential oils—things that became integral for our best-selling formulas. It also employed time-tested skin and body-care rituals designed to reconnect all parts of the body and mind back to each other, and back to nature. Now, Naturopathica has spas in East Hampton, NY, the Chelsea and TriBeCa neighborhoods of Manhattan, and Palm Beach, FL.

FAQ

Do I need to know anything before I arrive?

We will work hard to accommodate you if you are running late, but out of respect for all of our clients, your treatment will end at the originally scheduled time.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards and gift cards purchased for our spas. We do not accept cash. We do not accept Spa Finder Gift Cards.

How should I handle gratuity?

Gratuity is not covered in the price of the service. Spa services will automatically include a 20% gratuity that goes directly to your therapist.

What are your rules of etiquette?

We work hard to create a peaceful, calming atmosphere for our effective treatments. Therefore, we ask everyone, clients and staff, to speak softly whilst in the spa and turn off or put all electronic devices on silent as they may not be used in the spa.

Are there age restrictions at your spa?

Anyone over the age of 18 is allowed to receive any of our services. Guests ages 16 – 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is 18 years or older. Guests under 16 years old are only allowed at the Spa Directors discretion and must be accompanied by a guardian in the room during the treatment.

Can I host a private event at your spa?

We would love to host your next event! We have hosted PR events, birthday parties, bachelorette parties, and many other special gatherings in our spas. For more information, please email spas@naturopathica.com.

What is your cancellation policy?

For the benefit of all clients and professionals, booking appointments at Naturopathica are subject to the following terms: You may cancel or modify your appointment without charge 24 hours prior to your appointment; Cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment are non-refundable; If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, you will be considered a “No Show” and charged full price for the scheduled service(s); Applicable taxes will be retained and remitted.
