Creative Director

Naturopathica is looking for a Creative Director to lead the creative team at Naturopathica. This role will be responsible for visual branding, digital experience, product packaging, and merchandising within spa retail locations. The Creative Director will collaborate closely with Marketing, PR, Ecommerce and Product Development to lead the concept and creative direction of marketing and advertising campaigns, video production, product launches, support materials as well as other design related projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with marketing stakeholders to establish effective creative strategies across all business channels
  • Develop and manage creative budget; comfortable pitching creative strategy and budget to executive team
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to evolve and strengthen Naturopathica’s positioning and awareness
  • Establish art direction for print and digital services and programs; oversee Naturopathica’s brand presentation to ensure quality and uniformity across print, digital and in-store collateral
  • Collaborate with key internal partners to understand and deliver creative solutions across product launches and marketing programs, including print campaigns, digital marketing, web design, videos, support collateral, and visual merchandising concepts
  • Responsible for recruiting and managing agencies, freelancers and other relevant vendor relationships.
  • Style and photograph concepts in collaboration with 3rd parties. Direct photography, retouching, etc.
Experience and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design or related field
  • 5 - 8 years design experience with 2 years leading creative direction for a brand
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator)
  • Knowledge in video editing software such as Premiere and AfterEffects a plus
  • Experience in digital design, photoshoot and video production
  • Experience partnering with other departments to deliver creative solutions that strategically align with business goals  
  • Passionate about branding, storytelling, and producing content to drive consumer engagement
  • Packaging design a plus

Product Marketing Manager

We are seeking a Product Marketing Manager to drive product innovation and oversee the development of our skin care, body care and herbal remedy collections. This role will work closely with the marketing team on the innovation of quality products that meet the brand strategy and the successful launch of new products. We are a wellness company that is looking for passionate candidates that are motivated to build our brand’s national presence within a fast-growing industry. Responsibilities:
  • Lead innovation of new product concepts and product reformulations for retail and professional-only
  • Provide direction for the development of quality products that meet the Brand strategy and fill in need-gaps or new business opportunities
  • Project manage and trouble-shoot issues from concept, initiation, development, evaluation and launch in timely fashion
  • Be a team player with Marketing, Supply Chain, R&D, Education & PR aiding in each step of the development process.
  • Responsible for conducting market research, product pricing, forecasting and SKU management
  • Lead product claims, safety and clinical testing
  • Lead competitor research as well as stay informed on relevant trends in products, ingredients, formulas and packaging
  • Work with purchasing to optimize primary and secondary packaging development (functionality, design, copy and regulatory compliance)
  • Create product communications (features, benefits, key ingredients, positioning and claims) and be able to transform scientific concepts into consumer-friendly language
  • Develop product launch plan and budget

  • Create samples, testers, materials, and forecasts, or each new product
  • Product management and maintenance; ensure information is kept up to date and consistent across all channels
  • Monitor and analyze all launches, product penetration and promotional results and recommend points of improvement.

Experience and Requirements:
  • 5+ years of product marketing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing

Regional Account Executive, Sales & Education, North West Territory

We are seeking a Regional Account Executive (RAE) in the Northwestern United States, who will be responsible for overseeing existing and prospective accounts, primarily in the spa industry, and to drive growth of Naturopathica business. The RAE will represent Naturopathica’s brand, adhere to the company’s practices, and build lasting relationships with our partners. In addition to account management, the role includes product and protocol training as necessary, and the creation of sales and promotional plans to ensure account growth. This role will be based in the Northwestern United States. Opportunity for growth within the business.

Responsibilities:
    Business Development & Strategy:
    • Prospect and open new accounts according to established Naturopathica procedures.
    • Build and maintain relationships with the existing and new spa partners in the Northwestern U.S. region.
    • Travel to key accounts regularly, working closely to identify areas of improvement and opportunities.
    • Collect and communicate all relative data and pertinent information from spa partners, entering all relevant information into our CRM database.
    • Proactively implement and support execution of strategic sales and marketing plans, seasonal marketing calendar, maximizing all promotional and sales opportunities.
    • Ensure the effective use of marketing materials and monitor merchandising tools such as samples, testers and collateral.
    Sales:
    • Meet or exceed territory sales goals for new account acquisition and existing business volume goals.
    • Ensure customers’ orders are entered, processed and fulfilled to their satisfaction.
    • Prepare and communicate promotional information and marketing programs to spa partners
    Training & Education:
    • Evaluate, train and develop key accounts and prospects.
    • Conduct PowerPoint Presentations and webinar trainings for seminars, events and meetings that address both small and large audiences.
    • Assist in development of menus, protocols and training collateral as needed.
    • Manage, coordinate and provide support for product and technical education projects, ensuring proper protocols are followed at spa partner’s facility.  
    • Prepare and participate in regularly scheduled web trainings and teleconference meetings.
    Experience and Requirements:
    • Record of success with exceptional leadership, relationship building and execution of sales and marketing goals.
    • Ability to plan and implement sales campaigns, impactful spa events and effective promotions.
    • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.

    Financial Controller

    Naturopathica is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to build a disciplined finance function based out of our Manhattan HQs. The finance function is being relocated from a satellite office in East Hampton, NY and the successful applicant will need to train a small, newly-recruited team including an accountant and a bookkeeper and to establish new processes and procedures.  

    This is a hands-on role that requires a detailed understanding of every aspect of financial control, including: banking, AR, AP, inventory and manufacturing controls, monthly GL reconciliation, point of sale controls, expense and commissions management, gift certificates and memberships, sales tax and nexus requirements, payroll and HR compliance (via PEO), and knowledge of subsidiary and intercompany consolidation, fixed assets and depreciation.  

    Responsibilities:
    • Work directly with the COO on all aspects of financial management of the company, including divisional accounting for Wholesale operations, Direct .com sales, Spa operations, and distributors  
    • Prepare and monitor financial budgets, planning, analysis, cash flow and working capital forecasts
    • Manage AR, AP, Payroll, Bank recs, credit cards and merchant accounts
    • Manage and oversee of day to day transactions from both the wholesale and e-commerce web sites, and interactions with third party fulfillment operations
    • Control Sage ERP100 (MAS200) accounting systems, manage and structure the general ledger, develop management accounts and other reporting using Sisense business intelligence software to integrate operational processes with financial results, and the tracking of KPI’s
    • Tax management and multi-state sales tax compliance, with other licensing and compliance issues
    • Manage insurance coverage and maintenance of other licenses, trademarks and regulatory obligations of the Company
    • Manage leases and subcontractor relationships, consulting with and advising other functional department heads on financial and audit requirements, budgets controls, policies and procedures
    • In conjunction with the Director of Suppy Chain, oversee financial control of outsourced manufacturing locations, third party logistics operations, inventory and working capital control, purchasing policies, product costs and reporting
    • Financial and regulatory oversight of owned retail and Spa locations in respect to budgets, inventory levels, purchasing control, revenue and cash reconciliation and other performance issues
    • Monitor and ensure controlled spending in sales and marketing, challenge all sales-driven departments to keep within their budgetary guidelines and support their potential sales goals by balancing expenses across the Company
    • In conjunction with contracted PEO, manage HR policies, budgets, payroll and associated communications including benefits, 401K plan and NY state employment law compliance
    • Track and report internal and external spending with regard to software, information technology and infrastructure, in partnership with specialist external providers
    Experience and Requirements:
    • Degree in Accounting or Finance with strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Qualified or part-qualified CPA with knowledge of audit and review procedures
    • One-five (1-5) years of recent experience as a Controller
    • Demonstrated “roll-up sleeves” work ethic with ability to collaborate with team members
    • Hands-on experience gained through responsible financial management positions
    • Significant experience working with companies with physical inventory, manufacturing and logistics requirements, knowledge of forecasting, MRP and BOM management
    • Must be capable of advanced level MS Excel and be proficient with accounting/financial software; familiarity with Sage ERP100, MAS200 or similar systems a plus  
    • Additional working knowledge of software-driven business process automation from web site interfaces
    • Familiarity with financial control, POS processes and operational support of retail subsidiaries
    • Capability for reporting and data analysis using advanced software tools
    • Experience partnering with other departments to deliver creative solutions that strategically align with business goals

    Accountant/Bookkeeper

    Naturopathica is looking for an experienced Accountant and/or bookkeeper reporting to the Financial Controller based in our HQ offices in Manhattan. The finance function is being relocated from a satellite office in East Hampton and the successful applicant will be part of a new small team, with the objective of establishing new financial processes and procedures.

    This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join our team in a role that requires a detailed and practical understanding of general ledger management. Familiarity with bank reconciliation procedures is required, as well as AR and AP entries and reconciliation, control of payment processes and inventory and manufacturing controls. Experience with payroll and commission management, point of sale controls, expense management, gift certificates and memberships, sales tax and nexus requirements, knowledge of subsidiary and intercompany consolidation, fixed assets and depreciation is also required.

    Responsibilities may include:
    • Entering bank transactions and reconciliations
    • Loan schedules and reconciliation of credit card merchant statements to revenue
    • Accounts receivable entries and reconciliations
    • Monthly financial closing assistance
    • Assistance in preparing financial statements for audit, review and compilation engagements
    • Fixed asset, depreciation and amortization schedules
    • Budgeting working capital forecasting and cashflow projections
    • Preparation of prepaid and accrual schedules and entries
    • Preparation of payroll and commission schedules
    • Process incoming daily documents
    • Sales tax liability and reporting in multiple states
    • Obtaining approval on AP invoices/Coding and entering AP entries
    • Preparing weekly AP payment schedules, checks and wires
    • Preparing monthly credit card allocations and related accrual entry
    • Monthly and quarterly reconciliation of GL accounts and inventories
    • Communicating with supplier and employees regarding payment requests
    • Filing paid invoices and maintain vendor records
    • Responsibility with financial controller for general ledger reconciliations and the closing of the monthly books and records of the Company
    • Backup to Controller when needed
    • Working on special financial projects and analyses as requested
    Experience and Requirements:
    • Degree in Accounting or Finance with strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Qualified or interest in qualifying for CPA with knowledge of audit and review procedures preferred
    • Demonstrated “roll-up sleeves” work ethic with ability to collaborate with team members
    • Experience working with large or small companies with physical inventory, manufacturing and logistics requirements
    • Must be capable of advanced level MS Excel and be proficient with accounting/financial software, familiarity with Sage ERP100, MAS200 or similar systems preferred
    • One – three (1-3) years' recent experience in a position that demonstrates practical accounting knowledge and problem-solving capability
    • Familiarity with F9 Report Writer and/or Crystal Reports preferred
